- :>I just installed Ghostscript on my machine (see .sig) with few problems
- :>other than the usual crappy unix documentation. To the first guy: GS
- :>"hangs" on my system if I run it with no command line options. Ie, I have
- :>to type "GS lab1.ps", but it will not let me load "lab1.ps" after I start
- :>the program; it "hangs" and won't parse input. Try it this way if you
- :>haven't; I don't know if it's a bug or it's just not set up right, but it
- :>works that way..
- Never had that problem and I routinely start it with only typing 'gs'.
-
- :>To the reponder: you can print to the prefs: printer by invoking "GS
- :>-sDEVICE=amiga_printer" when you start it. (for some reason this wasn't
- :>in the dox; took me a while to figure it out..) Output is great on my HP
- :>DeskJet 540 (much much better than with Post1.86..).
- Thank goodnes, atleast some people are getting something good out of their
- printer, I was starting to think it was just only me where it works :)
-
-
- :>Now my question: how do you force it to use fonts other than what the
- :>document is looking for? My logic design professor insists on writing up
- :>our lab sheets using wierd fonts that aren't installed on my system..
- :>Can I force it just to use whatever I do have? I really wouldn't care if
- :>it used Topaz8 if it would just print..
- The magic word here is RTFM :)
- Go find the 'FontMap' file in the data directory. Load into your favourite
- editor and also load the 'font.doc'. Now change to your liking and print away.
-
- If you still have question then go ahead and mail me,
-
